Introduction of PSA nitrogen generator
PSA nitrogen production principle: the main components in the air are nitrogen and oxygen. Therefore, adsorbents with different adsorption selectivity for hydrogen and oxygen can be selected, and scientific process can be designed to separate nitrogen and oxygen to produce nitrogen.
Both nitrogen and oxygen have quadrupole moments, but the quadrupole moment of nitrogen is much larger than that of oxygen, The adsorption capacity of oxygen in carbon molecular sieve is much stronger than that of nitrogen (the force between oxygen and ions on the surface of molecular sieve is strong. Therefore, when air passes through the adsorption bed equipped with carbon molecular sieve adsorbent under pressure, oxygen will be adsorbed by molecular sieve. Due to less adsorption, nitrogen will be enriched in the gas phase and flow out of the adsorption bed to separate oxygen and nitrogen to obtain nitrogen. When the molecular sieve adsorbs oxygen to near saturation, stop the air well to reduce the pressure of the adsorption bed, and the oxygen adsorbed by molecular sieve can be desorbed, and the molecular sieve will be recovered To regenerate and reuse. When more than two adsorption beds are switched in turn, nitrogen can be produced continuously.
Brief description of PSA nitrogen production process: each adsorption bed generally goes through the steps of adsorption, original pressure relief, decompression and regeneration, flushing and replacement, pressure equalization and pressure rise, and the operation is repeated periodically. At the same time, each adsorption bed is in different operation steps. Under the control of the computer, it is switched regularly to make several adsorption beds operate together and stagger each other in time steps, so that the pressure swing adsorption device can operate smoothly and continuously obtain product nitrogen.
